The 90 MW agricultural-photovoltaic complementary power generation project in Daqi Town, Luotian County, undertaken by the Eighth Bureau of Water Resources and Hydropower, has achieved full-capacity grid-connected power generation. The project is located in the Dabie Mountains of Huanggang City, Hubei Province, with a total installed capacity of 90 MW, a supporting energy storage capacity of 64.5 MW/129 MWh, and a total of 34 photovoltaic power generation units.

Since the start of construction, the construction team has overcome multiple difficulties. Facing adverse factors such as undulating terrain and complex geological conditions, the project adopted a combined process of single-column and double-column bored cast-in-place piles, which effectively adapted to the complex geological conditions and improved the efficiency and stability of pile foundation construction.

To address the transportation challenges of mountain photovoltaic projects, the project applied a material organization model of unit-by-unit plus multi-level transfer to ensure efficient delivery of materials to their positions. In terms of construction management, the project implemented a grid-based plus checklist management model and, relying on video monitoring and drone inspection methods, achieved full coverage and no blind spots in safety supervision of the construction site. During holidays, the project builders stayed on the front line, making every effort to ensure project progress and complete the grid-connected power generation target on schedule.

After the project is put into operation, the average annual power generation is expected to be about 119 million kWh, saving about 36,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 95,000 tons each year. The completion and commissioning of this project are of positive significance for enhancing the regional clean energy supply capacity and supporting local green and low-carbon transformation and development.
