On the 16th, at the Top 50 Summit of the Global Construction Machinery Conference, Tang Min, State Council Counselor and economist, stated that after China's economy enters its "second season," free trade zones will bring new development opportunities and momentum to traditional manufacturing enterprises such as those in construction machinery.

Due to the slowdown in macroeconomic growth, severe overcapacity in the industry, and fierce competition in the international market, Chinese construction machinery enterprises have fallen into difficulties in their operations and performance in recent years.

Yesterday, Tang Min said that after bidding farewell to the era of high-speed growth, China's economy has entered its "second season." The future development model of the economy will feature steady, medium-to-high-speed growth, accompanied by reasonable investment, integration of social resources, and more structural adjustments.

Against this backdrop, traditional manufacturing industries such as construction machinery, which rely on macroeconomic investment policies, will face new challenges.

"The Shanghai Free Trade Zone is a testing ground for a new round of reforms," Tang Min believes. Policies that succeed in reform experiments within the free trade zone are likely to be replicated and promoted to other regions. Enterprises should keep a close eye on them, as they likely represent new trends in economic development and future opportunities.
