The Suzhou Municipal Transportation Key Project Scheduling Meeting was recently held, with the latest construction progress under the theme "Win the Decisive Sixty Days, Ensure Victory for the Whole Year" released! Since the beginning of this year, Suzhou's key transportation projects have advanced smoothly overall.

First Three Quarters
In the first three quarters, the city's comprehensive transportation key projects completed a cumulative investment of 21.31 billion yuan, fulfilling 78.2% of the annual plan and exceeding the scheduled progress. The progress of Zhangjiagang City, Kunshan City, Wujiang District, Wuzhong District and other areas reached over 80%.
Of the 32 projects planned for completion this year, 10 have been completed, and the remaining 22 are basically guaranteed to be completed by the end of the year;
Of the 39 projects planned to newly start construction (including those striving to start), 18 have already started, with an investment of 2.23 billion yuan completed;
Among the projects not yet started, 10 have obtained preliminary design approval.
Up to now, a batch of key transportation projects have been completed and opened to traffic, bringing benefits to residents' travel.
After the much-watched Tongjing Road North Extension Project opened, the round trip between Gusu District and Xiangcheng District has been shortened to 15 minutes, fully easing the traffic pressure on surrounding routes such as Huqiu Road and Guangji Road.
The Tongjing Road North Extension Project and the Wuzhong District section of the Nanhu Expressway East Extension Project ease the pressure on the existing cross-lake passage and accelerate travel communication and connections between other areas and the Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District and the Sangtiandao Industrial Park.
Nanhu Road Expressway East Extension Project (Wuzhong District Section). The Shanghai-Nanjing Riverside High-Speed Railway has officially opened, and Zhangjiagang, Changshu and Taicang of Suzhou have formally integrated into the Shanghai-Nanjing one-hour metropolitan circle.

Fourth Quarter
In the fourth quarter of this year, 17 projects are planned to start construction, including the High-Tech Zone section of National Highway 635 and the newly built Jinxi Interchange Project of the Changjia Expressway.
Among the 8 projects striving to start by the end of the year, the reconstruction and expansion project of Pusha and Haili No. 2 Wharves in Zhangjiagang Port Area has begun construction bidding, and the west extension of Liangfu Road to Dongguang Road in Taicang and the Zhangjiagang West Second Ring Road-Yangxin Highway have both obtained construction drawing approval;
The other 5 projects are accelerating the approval and filing process. Suzhou will cherish every moment and fight to win decisively, actively advancing all key transportation projects so they are put into operation as early as possible and serve social and economic development!
