On January 21, the East-West Avenue in the Shenyang area of Anxi County and the left tube of Shishiyan Tunnel officially opened to traffic. This means that Anxi's urban "artery" has been further opened up, the road network construction has been continuously improved, and people's travel has become more convenient.

According to reports, the left-tube project of Shishiyan Tunnel is a key project at the municipal and county levels. Construction began in March 2017 and lasted 22 months, with a total investment of 190 million yuan. The main line is 2,670 meters long, including a 1,760-meter tunnel; the four ramps total 1,660 meters, including a 352-meter ramp interchange bridge. Its completion and opening to traffic are of great significance for improving the county's traffic conditions, perfecting the county's comprehensive transportation plan, alleviating traffic congestion, facilitating people's travel, driving Anxi's economic and social development, and promoting the landing of investment projects.


As the scale of Anxi's urban hinterland continues to expand, with the successive development and construction of Anxi Tea College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, the Railway East Station, Wanda Plaza, and others in the Shenyang area, the Chengdong New Area of Anxi is showing a trend of leapfrog development.

In order to further strengthen the connection between the central urban area and Chengdong New Area, improve the area's investment environment, and perfect urban supporting facilities, in early 2017, the Anxi County Party Committee and County Government, responding to the expectations of the people, launched the construction of the East-West Avenue in the Shenyang area, with a main line of about 2,144 meters, a width of 36 meters, and a total investment of 98 million yuan.

"At present, we are vigorously advancing the construction of projects such as the Shenling Tunnel and Tongde Bridge, and planning the construction of the Yanta Bridge, to enhance the interconnected interaction and coordinated development between the central urban area and the Chengdong, Chengxi, and Chengnan areas." said the relevant person in charge of the Anxi County Urban Management Bureau. This will further open up the "main artery" of Anxi's urban roads and continuously enhance the city's quality.
