The Langxi Road Viaduct project will run from Yuxi Road in the north to Baohe Avenue in the south, with a total length of about 6.3 kilometers. According to the preliminary schedule, the Langxi Road Viaduct will start construction in April 2014 and be completed in June 2015.

A relevant official from the Municipal Key Projects Bureau said that the Smooth Second Ring project will also include reconstruction of nodes such as Fanwa Road, Jixian Road, Jinzhai Road, Susong Road, Baohe Avenue, Dongzhi Road, Tongcheng Road, and Ningguo Road. The preliminary design schedule sets the start of construction for February, with completion planned for June 2015.

On the North Second Ring, construction is planned to begin this year on the western section of Weiwu Road. The project will start from Mengcheng North Road in the east and end at the new National Highway 206 in the west, with a total road length of about 18.6 kilometers.

In the area near the North Second Ring, construction is also expected to begin this year on projects such as Guoyang Road (Fuyang North Road-Logistics Branch Road), Dongfang Avenue (Mengcheng North Road-Huaiyuan Road), and Huaihai Avenue (Huainan North Road-New Bengbu Road), to break through traffic bottlenecks between the Xinzhan District, Luyang Industrial Park, and the northern urban area, reduce detour distances, and ease traffic congestion on the North Second Ring.
