11 Railways in Sichuan to Start Construction Successively: 9 High-Speed and Intercity Railways, 2 Conventional Railways
It is understood that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Sichuan Province will usher in a peak period of transportation construction, with the strategic comprehensive transportation corridors of the "Four Directions and Eight Corridors" taking shape at an accelerated pace, and Sichuan's transportation geography will undergo historic and fundamental changes. As for railway transportation, in addition to projects already under construction (including sections that started early), such as the Neijiang-Zigong-Luzhou High-Speed Railway, the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway, the Chengdu-Kunming Double-Track Railway, and the Chengdu-Lanzhou Railway, our editors have tallied that as many as 11 more railways will start construction successively in the coming years.
