The basement earthwork is excavated in four stages. During the construction of the first support, surface earthwork excavation is carried out in an interleaved manner, excavating down to the elevation of the lower edge of the first support. Earthwork excavation for the other layers must be strictly carried out in accordance with the design construction parameters, the requirements of time-space effect, and the excavation sequence. In principle, support construction is inserted one to two days after the earthwork excavation of each layer; the next layer of earthwork excavation begins after each support has been formed as an integral unit and cured for five days. This cycle is repeated until excavation reaches the bottom of the foundation pit.
