Single Hospitalization Cannot Exceed 15 Days, Otherwise Medical Insurance Won't Reimburse? False!
At the routine press conference for the first half of 2024 held on April 11, a relevant official of the National Healthcare Security Administration stated that the national medical insurance authorities have never issued restrictive regulations such as "a single hospitalization shall not exceed 15 days." Regarding the situation in which a small number of medical institutions turn the "average" of medical insurance payment standards into a "cap" and forcibly require patients to be discharged, transferred, or hospitalized at their own expense on the grounds that "the medical insurance quota has been used up," the National Healthcare Security Administration firmly opposes such practices and welcomes the public to report them to local medical insurance authorities, or to report directly to the National Healthcare Security Administration.
