Discussion on Construction Technology and Construction Quality Management of Impact Pile Drilling Machines

With the continuous development of the socialist market economy and the steady improvement of people's living standards, there are increasingly higher demands on the construction quality of engineering projects. Quality is an eternal topic in engineering construction and a key indicator for evaluating the quality of building construction. Impact pile drilling technology is currently widely used in bridges and large buildings. It has a strong ability to penetrate sand, cohesive soil, and gravel, and is a pile foundation construction technology that can adapt to various complex terrains. This paper mainly studies the necessity of construction quality management, impact pile drilling construction technology, and construction quality management issues.

A Suggestion Regarding the Meaning of "b" in the Code for Design of Building Foundations (GB50007—2002)

This paper analyzes two inadequacies in the Code for Design of Building Foundations (GB50007-2002). For the first issue—the side length of the foundation base in the direction of the moment—it presents grounds in mechanics of materials, design conventions, and learning/understanding habits to explain why denoting it with the symbol "" is inappropriate. For the second issue—the wording "foundation base width"—it provides a derivation and argument demonstrating why the expression is inappropriate. Relevant suggestions are given for each issue.

Understanding and Application of Clause 5.2.7 of the Code for Design of Building Foundations

By examining Clause 5.2.7 of the Code for Design of Building Foundations concerning the verification of soft underlying strata, this paper identifies problems encountered in the specific implementation of this clause in foundation design, and conducts theoretical discussion and case analysis. It presents criteria for determining the 'range of the foundation bearing stratum' and the 'soft underlying stratum,' as well as a reasonable method for determining the foundation pressure diffusion angle when 'Es1/Es2<3'.

In the chimney foundation construction of the 2×260 t/h air separation boiler project of the Guodian Yinglite Ningdong 1.2 million ton coal-based polygeneration project, through appropriate material selection, continuous optimization of concrete mix proportion and supply, reasonable selection of raw materials, optimization of concrete mix proportion and concrete supply, and strengthened curing work, the construction quality of the mass concrete of the chimney foundation can be guaranteed. This paper briefly describes the characteristics of the mass concrete of the chimney foundation, and discusses and analyzes the construction technology of the chimney foundation concrete as well as the crack prevention measures for mass concrete.

On the Importance of Insurance in Transportation Infrastructure Construction

Today, with social progress, insurance plays an increasingly important role in transportation infrastructure construction. Engineering project insurance is an advantageous means of protecting the interests of investors and contractors, allowing them to avoid major risks with small inputs; therefore, it should be fully applied in highway engineering, and this instrument of insurance should be well utilized. The greatest benefit of engineering insurance is that participants pay a certain insurance premium in exchange for the guarantee of compensation when they suffer substantial losses, thereby enhancing their own ability to withstand risks. This paper discusses the scope, selection, and application of insurance in transportation infrastructure engineering, and analyzes issues that should be noted when signing insurance contracts.

Reform and Practice of the Teaching Model for Fundamentals of Control Engineering
