The "Form" and "Meaning" in the Design of Construction Machinery Products
The market for construction machinery products is expanding day by day, but looking at the development of construction machinery products over recent decades, the transparency of technology has led the products into an era of homogenization. The form design of China's construction machinery products has long remained at the stage of imitating excellent foreign products, lacking a theoretical foundation for form design. Taking product semantics as its research foundation and product form and product semantics as its starting point, this paper identifies "form" from the aspects of basic form, linear analysis, color analysis, and material analysis, and then identifies "meaning" from the perspectives of functional semantics, modeling semantics, color semantics, and material semantics. Through the combination of "form" and "meaning," it interprets the form design methods for construction machinery products, and finally explores applying the summarized methods to practice, thereby providing enterprises with a theoretical foundation for the form design of construction machinery products.
