According to reports, the CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Bureau Fodu project team adopted dual measurement combining GNSS positioning and total station verification to control pile position coordinates, inclination, hammer energy and penetration, ensuring the accurate driving of the first pile and the smooth progress of the project. According to the plan, all 2,234 pile foundation operations are expected to be completed by May 2027.

The Fodu Operation Area container terminal is the first 10-billion-yuan-level port project in Zhejiang Province since the approval of the Master Plan of Ningbo Zhoushan Port (2035), and one of the ten landmark projects for building a world-class strong port. With a total investment of about 21.1 billion yuan and a planned shoreline of 2,850 meters, it will build seven container berths of 200,000-ton class and below. Phase I of the project will build two 200,000-ton-class container berths with a designed annual throughput of 2 million TEUs, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

After completion, the Fodu Operation Area container terminal will join the Meishan Port Area and Chuanshan Port Area to form the largest and most influential container berth cluster of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, greatly enhancing the port's container cargo throughput capacity and operational efficiency, and providing strong support for Zhejiang's high-quality development of the marine economy and the building of a strong maritime province.
