From January to August this year, the group anchored itself to its annual construction goals, coordinated the advancement of 12 key highway construction projects across the autonomous region, and made every effort to improve the quality, speed, scale, and efficiency of project construction. By the end of August, all projects under construction had seized the golden construction period, with key milestones achieved one after another, and overall construction showed a sound momentum of steady progress with improved quality and speed.
In 2026, the total construction scale of key highway projects implemented by Inner Mongolia Transportation Group will reach 960 kilometers, including 389 kilometers of expressways and 571 kilometers of first-class highways, with a total investment of 46.4 billion yuan, covering two major segments: projects at the autonomous region level and franchised projects. Project construction has formed a phased advancement pattern of "continued projects sprinting to completion, new projects starting in an orderly manner, and reserve projects won through bidding gathering momentum."
Among them, continued projects are making focused efforts, completing 65% of the annual plan; multiple routes are advancing steadily according to established milestones, and some projects have entered the final acceptance stage. New projects are advancing in parallel, with preliminary procedures and site construction progressing simultaneously, and control works starting one after another, completing 24.7% of the annual plan, laying a solid foundation for subsequent full-scale construction. Projects under construction and continued projects are progressing at multiple points, with key milestones achieved one after another. The main works of the G5511 Chacao project and the Baiyinchagan to Yongtaigong section of the S22 Baiyong project have been fully completed, with remaining works such as traffic safety and electromechanical systems basically completed, and delivery acceptance is about to begin. For the G1816 Wushi project, the pile foundations and pile caps of the main bridge of the Yellow River Grand Bridge have all been poured, and the substructure of the approach bridge has been fully completed, marking a key step in the construction of the control project. For the Narisong to Longkou section of the S26 Nalong project, the subgrade and bridge works have basically taken shape, and pavement works are in full swing, with the project entering a stage of accelerated construction. For the G110 Bixie project and the G1817 Wuba upgrade and renovation project, subgrade and bridge culvert works are under simultaneous construction, control works have achieved phased results, and the overall construction pace is steady with progress.

New and preliminary projects are building momentum for breakthroughs, with development potential continuing to strengthen. For the G4515 Chiling project, land acquisition and demolition work and site construction are in full progress, forestry and grassland procedures have been officially approved in some banners and counties, and conditions for project commencement are gradually maturing. The feasibility study report for the G2515 Luhuo project has been officially approved, and survey and design work is being accelerated. For the G0616 Haiwu project and the G207 Xibabai project, beam yard prefabrication has been put into production, control bridge works have started one after another, and the project construction foundation continues to be consolidated, accumulating momentum for subsequent full-scale construction.
Key highway construction projects in the autonomous region are being advanced in an overlapping manner, providing important support for the region to expand transportation investment, stabilize growth, and benefit people's livelihoods. As the projects are gradually completed and connected, they will further improve the autonomous region's trunk highway network, enhance regional connectivity and corridor transport capacity, and provide solid transportation support for serving the construction of an important national bridgehead for opening up northward and promoting high-quality regional economic development.
