On September 8, the 2026 China International Emergency Management Exhibition opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Sunward brought a number of self-developed emergency equipment for firefighting, intelligent engineering, and unmanned platforms to the exhibition, showcasing its technological innovation achievements in the context of "all types of disasters and comprehensive emergency response," and providing complete equipment solutions for disaster prevention, mitigation, and emergency rescue.

At the exhibition site, the intelligent remote-controlled excavator highlighted by Sunward integrates four modes: local operation, short-range remote control, remote control cabin, and remote autonomous operation. Based on an embodied intelligence VLA large model, it achieves end-to-end learning from perception to decision-making to execution. The equipment is equipped with vision modules, LiDAR, and a domain controller, and has environmental perception, motion obstacle avoidance, and autonomous excavation capabilities. Its autonomous obstacle-avoidance driving speed reaches 5 km/h, and under 90-degree swing dumping conditions, its autonomous bulk material operation efficiency is 100 buckets per hour. The remote-control cabin is equipped with a simulation training module that combines virtual and real elements, allowing trainees to conduct simulated and actual equipment operations simultaneously, ensuring safety while reducing training costs. At present, this product has been applied at research institutes such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Central South University, and Xiangtan University.
The light unmanned platform is compact in size and adopts a lightweight chassis, a range-extended power system, variable-travel hydro-pneumatic suspension, and a 6×6 hub-motor distributed drive system. It has unmanned driving functions such as remote control, autonomous following, line-tracking driving, and one-key return, with outstanding off-road and obstacle-crossing capabilities. For complex terrain such as plateaus, hills, and woodlands, as well as climatic conditions such as high temperature, severe cold, and high humidity, the platform can carry different mission payloads and is suitable for scenarios such as material transport and reconnaissance and strike.
The multifunctional water tank fire truck adopts a full-drive off-road chassis with good passability, effectively solving the problem of rescue vehicles being "unable to arrive and unable to enter." The vehicle is equipped with a multi-stage firefighting system of high, medium, and low pressure: the medium- and low-pressure large-flow mode is suitable for rapid suppression of large-area fires in low-rise urban areas, while the high-pressure long-range mode is used for high-rise buildings and long-distance pinpoint firefighting.
The Sunward exhibition area attracted many professional visitors for exchange, including representatives from the Ministry of Emergency Management, the National Fire and Rescue Administration, local emergency management and fire rescue teams, research institutes, central enterprises and leading domestic and international emergency equipment enterprises, and representatives of embassies and institutions in China from Belt and Road-related countries.
Relying on its accumulated engineering machinery technology, Sunward continues to deepen its presence in the emergency rescue equipment track, focusing on scenarios such as firefighting, geological disaster response, and flood control and rescue, and has built a series of emergency equipment systems including firefighting, engineering rescue, and unmanned special platforms. The company adheres to aligning technological innovation with practical needs. A number of its equipment items have been included in the national emergency equipment promotion catalog, and it has participated multiple times in major domestic disaster response and national-level emergency drills. Its subsidiary Sunward Special Equipment Co., Ltd. focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of emergency and special equipment, providing customized products and systematic solutions for the emergency management and fire rescue fields.
In the future, Sunward will continue to base itself on practical needs, adhere to pioneering innovation, continuously iterate emergency rescue equipment, and provide equipment support for the modernization of China's emergency management system and capabilities.
