On August 30, the main structure of Building 4 of the Quangang No. 1 Middle School New Campus (High School Division) project was successfully topped out. The project is expected to be completed in August next year and will provide 3,000 school places.

The construction site of the Quangang No. 1 Middle School New Campus (High School Division) project is bustling with activity: excavators are carrying out backfill leveling work, cement mixer trucks are shuttling back and forth delivering concrete, and various processes such as earthwork excavation and main structure construction are being carried out simultaneously.

Zheng Kaihuang, Construction Director of the Quangang No. 1 Middle School Project of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau: "The project covers a total land area of approximately 88,000 square meters, with a total floor area of about 80,000 square meters. The construction content includes teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, auxiliary teaching buildings, dormitory buildings, a grandstand, an all-weather sports field, a swimming pool, a gatehouse, an underground parking garage and air-defense basement, along with supporting outdoor works such as a 400-meter ring running track sports field, perimeter walls, gates, and campus greening and paving."

Since the start of the project, the construction contractor has upheld a commitment to quality, scientifically coordinated the interleaving of various construction processes, finely allocated resources including manpower, materials, and machinery and equipment, and efficiently advanced cross-construction among multiple buildings. Building 4, as the first individual building in the project to achieve main structure topping out, reached this milestone 20 days ahead of the overall construction schedule, laying a solid foundation for the efficient construction of the remaining buildings.

Zheng Kaihuang, Construction Director of the Quangang No. 1 Middle School Project of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau: "As of now, more than 95% of the project's earthwork excavation and support construction has been completed, pile foundation construction has entered the final stage, and foundation testing for each building is proceeding in an orderly manner; the main structures of Buildings 2, 3, 5, and 6 are being constructed successively. On site, all processes are efficiently interleaved and advanced in close sequence. The overall project progress has reached 20%, and the entire construction is expected to be completed in August 2027."

In recent years, Quangang District has continued to increase investment in education. Since 2021, more than 16,000 new school places have been added across the district. The implementation and construction of this project will further improve the layout of regional educational resources and boost the high-quality development of education in Quangang.
