This year, another new major project in Jiading District—the Yanfeng An亭 new project base of Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd. with an investment of 1.45 billion yuan—has recently entered the pile foundation construction phase. The landing of this industrial cluster project, which integrates intelligent cockpit R&D and production, will inject new momentum into Jiading's efforts to build the core carrying area of a world-class automotive industry center.

The Yanfeng Anting new project base is located on the west side of Gupu River and the south side of Minfeng Road in Anting Town. At the project site, large cranes are roaring, and hydraulic pile drivers are driving concrete piles into the ground one after another. Liu Tao, the project manager of the contractor, introduced that the base covers an area of about 190,000 square meters and is planned to include five individual buildings, with above-ground construction area of about 200,000 square meters. "The base mainly includes three intelligent factory buildings, one four-story parking building, and other ancillary facilities, and a total of nearly 4,000 piles will be driven," Liu Tao said.

It is understood that as a major industrial project key promoted by Jiading District this year, the new Yanfeng base involves a total investment of about 1.45 billion yuan and will focus on the construction of intelligent cockpits and industrial clusters, creating an independent R&D and production base covering a complete product array including interiors, intelligent safety, exteriors, and electronics, to provide nearby supporting services for mainstream OEMs such as SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC Audi, SAIC Passenger Vehicle, BYD, Li Auto, and Volvo. At the same time, the new base will also collaborate with Yanfeng's global technical expert team and domestic and overseas branches, following a green, low-carbon, and circular development path, to provide automakers with comprehensive cockpit solutions from design to mass production, helping explore future mobility spaces.

The developer revealed that the contract construction period of the project is 555 days, with pile foundation construction planned to be completed at the end of September and early October this year, the main buildings expected to be topped out successively by June 2027, and construction to be completed in the first quarter of 2028.
