Recently, as the final hammer blow of the piling vessel "No. 18" landed precisely, the 880th pipe pile of the CCCC Shanghai Dredging Dafeng Port Wharf Project was successfully driven into the seabed, marking the successful completion of the pile foundation works and the project's official transition from water-and-land construction to a new phase of fully onshore structural construction.

During the advancement of pile foundation construction, the project team tackled difficulties head-on and took precise measures to ensure steady progress. In selecting construction equipment, given factors such as complex geological conditions, large pile diameters and deep penetration depths, and the difficulty for conventional vessels to meet construction precision requirements, the project department conducted extensive research and comparison, dispatched candidate vessels from multiple locations for trial piling, and ultimately selected the suitably performing vessel "Piling No. 18" as the main force, providing reliable equipment support for pile driving. In organizing offshore operations, the pile foundation construction window period was hit by cold waves, with rough seas and harsh open-air working conditions, leaving extremely limited effective working days. The project department introduced professional meteorological support services, refined the construction plan to hourly levels based on nowcasting weather forecasts, predicted effective working windows 72 hours in advance, and seized the windows to concentrate forces for intensive construction, achieving "all hands on deck the moment a window opens."

The smooth completion of this pile foundation construction has laid a solid foundation for subsequent superstructure construction. Next, the project department will continue to anchor to the project's overall milestone goals, advance engineering construction to high standards, and continue to drive new breakthroughs in project construction through high-quality contract performance.
