On June 4, 2026, with the completion of pouring for tunnel retaining pile foundation S2-A-6-B12, the deep foundation pit support system of the tunnel in Section 01 of the G236 Pingtianhu Tunnel and Connecting Line Project undertaken by Jiangong Construction Investment Group achieved a significant milestone—pile foundation construction has cumulatively exceeded 1,000 piles!

As the longest urban lakebed tunnel in Anhui Province, the Pingtianhu Tunnel passes through highly permeable strata, with a maximum foundation pit depth of 18 meters; the quality of pile foundation construction is directly related to the overall safety of the foundation pit. Facing the dual pressure of uneven soft and hard strata and the approaching flood season, the project team adopted the tactic of "breaking the whole into parts and advancing in parallel," dividing the tunnel work area into three small working faces: the portal section, the land section, and the deep-water cofferdam section. On this basis, four large rotary drilling rigs were successively deployed for simultaneous construction, each with two crews, ensuring that "work continues even when the rig stops"; at the same time, an intelligent hole-forming detector was introduced, so that after each pile is completed, a report on verticality and sediment thickness can be issued immediately, achieving efficient quality acceptance of "one inspection per pile." In addition, a 24-hour flood-control duty and on-site drainage coordination mechanism was established to ensure that construction resumes within 2 hours after rain. To guarantee the schedule, the project team also used the evenings to work backward to an hourly-level schedule and assigned dedicated personnel to monitor key milestones, comprehensively driving efficient progress in pile foundation construction.
