On May 25, tower cranes stood in clusters and machinery roared at the construction site of the Yangjia River Grand Bridge on the Huangbai Railway in Huahuo Town, Ziyun Autonomous County, where a construction boom is surging. Currently, 92% of the bridge's pile foundation works have been completed, 18 of the 57 bridge piers have been capped, and the remaining piers and abutments are advancing efficiently at a rate of "one segment every three days."

The Huangbai Railway, about 312 kilometers long with a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour, is a key project in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" railway program and a core project of the western route of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. The Ziyun section features complex geology and is known as "an infrastructure breakthrough project in a geological museum," with the Yangjia River Grand Bridge serving as a key controlling project. The bridge's pile foundations must pass through karst strata densely dotted with caves and underground rivers. The technical team adopted a "steel casing follow-up + cave filling" process to overcome construction challenges such as slurry leakage and hole collapse. For the No. 41 main pier, which reaches a maximum height of 117 meters, the project used hydraulic climbing formwork technology to control construction precision at the millimeter level, ensuring the quality and safety of high-pier construction. The project has organized more than 180 builders working in shifts to tackle key challenges, strictly upholding safety and quality bottom lines while scientifically allocating resources to seize the construction schedule. The efficient progress of the Yangjia River Grand Bridge not only provides a model for railway construction in complex geological conditions but will also improve the railway network in southwest China and boost regional connectivity, industrial development, and economic quality improvement.
