On July 9, 2026, the press conference for the 18th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as BICES 2027) was held in Beijing. At the conference, Zhou Weidong, President of the Machinery Industry Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (hereinafter referred to as the CCPIT Machinery Industry Sub-Council), delivered a keynote speech titled "Working Together to Build an International Exchange Platform and Help Construction Machinery Enterprises Expand Domestic and Overseas Markets."

Good morning, everyone!

Midsummer opens a new journey; concerted efforts usher in a glorious chapter. Today, we gather once again in Beijing to jointly welcome the launch of the 18th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as BICES 2027)! As one of the organizers of BICES, I would like to extend, on behalf of the CCPIT Machinery Industry Sub-Council, our warmest welcome and sincere gratitude to all the guests and partners attending this press conference, as well as to friends from all sectors who have long cared about and supported the development of China's construction machinery industry!

Since its founding in 1989, BICES has gone through more than three decades of glorious history. As an internationally influential grand event in China's construction machinery industry, it is not only a witness to the technological progress of China's equipment manufacturing industry, but also a driver of exchange and cooperation across the global construction machinery production and supply chain. This year's exhibition will be themed "Green and Intelligent Leadership, Sharing Excellence," bringing together more than a thousand exhibiting enterprises and industry institutions from around the world to showcase innovative achievements in the greening, digital-intelligent transformation and internationalization of construction machinery. At this critical historical juncture as the 15th Five-Year Plan sets sail, the holding of BICES 2027 is timely and of far-reaching significance.

Since its establishment nearly forty years ago, the CCPIT Machinery Industry Sub-Council has always upheld the purpose of "serving economic construction and serving enterprise development," and is committed to building a high-level international exchange and cooperation platform for promoting the development of China's machinery industry. To this end, we will carry out the following work during the preparation and holding of BICES 2027.

Continue to do a good job in exhibition recruitment, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. SMEs are an important foundation for the development of the manufacturing industry and a key focus of our Council's services. Over the years, under the leadership of our Council, we have organized enterprises to participate in international professional exhibitions and expand domestic and overseas markets, playing a positive role in the internationalization of China's machinery industry. For BICES 2027, our Council will continue to leverage its advantages in organizing exhibitions, strengthen publicity and recruitment efforts for SMEs, and enable more SMEs to gain more from the BICES platform.

Continue to hold the "Special Conference on the Green Development of Construction Machinery Electrification." During BICES 2025, with the support of the China Construction Machinery Association and China Construction Machinery Complete Equipment Co., Ltd., our Council successfully held the "Special Conference on the Green Development of Construction Machinery Electrification." During BICES 2027, our Council will continue to hold this conference to build consensus on the industry's green development, precisely establish a platform for exchange and cooperation among upstream and downstream enterprises, and inject strong momentum into the green development of construction machinery electrification.

Give full play to the advantages of CCPIT resources to promote policies and international rules for enterprises going global. To encourage enterprises to explore international markets, on the one hand, the state has formulated a series of incentive policies to support enterprises in going abroad; on the other hand, China has signed trade agreements with relevant countries and international organizations to lower export thresholds, eliminate trade barriers, and create conditions for enterprises to enter international markets. Our Council will use the BICES platform to organize relevant experts to introduce and interpret relevant policies and international trade rules for exhibitors, making their path to going global smoother.

Give full play to the "International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Center," jointly established by our Council and international organizations, to provide enterprises with prevention and settlement solutions for international economic and trade disputes. As the number of Chinese enterprises engaged in international trade and overseas investment continues to increase, the number of dispute cases arising in trade and investment is also on the rise. To help enterprises better avoid and respond to frictions arising in the process of going global, during BICES 2027, our Council will jointly hold a special conference with the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) to introduce to enterprises how to keep risk prevention and control in place before signing contracts and during contract performance. We will also gradually integrate high-quality domestic and international legal service resources, establish a unified entry point for dispute resolution, and safeguard Chinese machinery enterprises in achieving high-quality international development.

Continue to do a good job in organizing group visits by foreign embassies in China and international institutions. During the opening of BICES 2025, we invited more than forty representatives of foreign embassies in China and international institutions to visit the exhibition and held a special conference on the overview of China's construction machinery development for them, giving diplomatic envoys and institutional representatives from various countries a more comprehensive and systematic understanding of China's construction machinery and the BICES exhibition. For BICES 2027, we will continue to do a good job in inviting embassies and foreign institutions, and through them widely spread the brilliant achievements of China's construction machinery to all parts of the world.

At present, in the face of the new situation of profound adjustments in global industrial and supply chains, we need more than ever to strengthen communication, enhance mutual trust and deepen cooperation. We hope that through the BICES exhibition, we can further promote practical cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises in technological innovation, green transformation and market expansion, jointly safeguard the stability and smooth flow of the global machinery industrial chain, cultivate new quality productive forces, and inject Chinese momentum into the high-quality development of the world's construction machinery industry.

Friends, BICES leverages the capital's locational advantages and industrial characteristics, gathers high-quality resources from the entire industrial chain, showcases the industry's cutting-edge technologies, innovative equipment and overall solutions, and builds a high-end platform for the industry featuring technical exchange, supply-demand matching, economic and trade cooperation and innovation empowerment.
