Recently, according to Hunan Company of Shanghai-Kunming Passenger Dedicated Line,the underwater works of the Changsha Xiangjiang Railway Grand Bridge have been basically completed, and the elevated ground section has fully entered the construction stage,pressing the "accelerator" for the construction of the entire Changsha-Ganzhou High-Speed Railway.

The Changsha-Ganzhou High-Speed Railway is a key section of the "Yuxia Corridor" in China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway main corridors. The project connects Changsha, Pingxiang, Jinggangshan, Ganzhou and other cities. Once completed, it will greatly improve the transport connectivity efficiency between Hunan and Jiangxi provinces and boost coordinated regional economic development.

The main bridge of the Changsha Xiangjiang Railway Grand Bridge on the Changsha-Ganzhou High-Speed Railway has a total length of 768.1 meters and adopts a cable-stayed bridge design, crossing the main navigation channel of the right branch of the Xiangjiang River. During the flood season, the construction team carried out scientific scheduling, maintained construction despite difficulties while ensuring flood discharge safety during the flood season, and made every effort to accelerate project progress to ensure the project is completed on schedule.

As a controlling project of the Hunan section of the Changsha-Ganzhou High-Speed Railway,the pile foundations of the main piers of the Changsha Xiangjiang Railway Grand Bridge have all been completed, with only 4 pile foundations remaining for the side piers and auxiliary piers. At present, the construction contractor is concentrating its efforts on advancing the trench milling construction for the main pier cofferdams,laying the foundation for the next full-scale construction of the pile caps and pier shafts.

To ensure the smooth implementation of this key milestone, the project department organized scientifically and coordinated scheduling, overcame challenges such as high difficulty of underwater construction and a tight schedule, strictly implemented safety production and environmental protection measures, and made every effort to guarantee project quality and progress.

After the Changsha-Ganzhou High-Speed Railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will greatly shorten the travel time and distance between Changsha and Ganzhou and cities along the route, further optimize the railway network structure in the Hunan-Jiangxi border area, provide solid transport support for the high-quality economic and social development of Hunan and Jiangxi provinces, and be of great significance for promoting coordinated regional development, optimizing industrial layout, and driving rural revitalization along the route.
