Recently, at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, known as the "Olympics of the invention world," the "High-Efficiency Clean Combustion and Reliability Enhancement Technology for Ultra-Low-Emission Natural Gas Engines" jointly developed by Yuchai and Tianjin University successfully won the Gold Award at the exhibition, shining on the global innovation stage!

As one of the world's three major invention exhibitions, the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is jointly hosted by authoritative organizations such as the World Intellectual Property Organization, with rigorous evaluation criteria and extremely high international recognition. This year's exhibition brought together more than 1,400 cutting-edge innovations from over 40 countries and regions around the world, with fierce competition and substantial prestige.

Targeting the three major industry challenges of natural gas engines—energy consumption, emissions, and durability—the award-winning technology has built a comprehensive innovation system and achieved key breakthroughs:

✅ High efficiency and energy saving: The industry's first collaborative optimization technology for inclined-axis swirl intake ports, combined with precise control strategies, greatly improves thermal efficiency and reduces exhaust temperature, delivering more energy-efficient power;

✅ Ultra-low emissions: An innovative dual-catalyst technology route simultaneously purifies methane, nitrogen oxides, and various other pollutants, making it green and low-carbon;

✅ Stable and reliable: The overall engine structure and cooling system have been optimized to thoroughly solve industry pain points such as low-temperature water accumulation and icing, adapting to harsh operating conditions in multiple scenarios.

A number of hard-core data confirm the technological strength: the engine's maximum effective thermal efficiency in mass production leads the industry, with cumulative sales of nearly 200,000 units and a domestic bus market share of over 80%.

Beyond technological leadership, the achievement also deeply empowers green development, having cumulatively helped reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 100 million tons, and has provided reliable green power for top international events such as the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Qatar World Cup, demonstrating the responsibility of China's power technology innovation.
