Amid the layered peaks of the Taihang Mountains Grand Canyon, a modern smart parking building is rising. The Huguan Grand Canyon Smart Parking Lot Project of Shanxi Construction Investment Third Construction Group, a key project for developing cultural tourism support facilities and improving scenic area functions, upholds the core concept of "smart, intensive, and convenient" and is painting a new picture of integrated "culture and tourism + transportation" development in the heart of the Taihang Mountains.

Leveraging Location Advantages to Solve Peak-Season Parking Difficulties

The project is located in Daxiagu Town, Huguan County, Changzhi City, serving Qiaoshang and Shatang villages and adjacent to well-known scenic spots such as Baquan Gorge, Heilong Pond, and Hongdou Gorge. With a significant location and transportation advantage, it is an important transportation node for tourists traveling to core scenic areas. The project covers a total site area of about 60,000 square meters and a total construction area of 37,500 square meters. It is planned to include a two-story above-ground parking building and supporting service buildings, with a scientific and reasonable overall layout and clear functional zoning.

The project plans more than 2,500 parking spaces, including standard spaces, accessible spaces, and new-energy charging spaces, fully meeting the parking needs of different visitor groups. The parking building adopts a ramp-connected design with multiple entrances and exits, ensuring clear traffic routes and smooth passage and effectively alleviating congestion during peak periods. The supporting service buildings include restrooms, convenience stores, duty rooms, restaurants, and other facilities, upgrading from "simple parking" to "one-stop convenient services," allowing visitors to enjoy convenient rest and supplies while parking.

Overcoming Difficulties to Ensure Efficient Project Progress

The project is located in the mountainous area of the Taihang Mountains Grand Canyon and is constrained by multiple factors, including the regional environment, geological conditions, climate conditions, and transportation conditions, so construction faces many practical challenges. In the face of these difficulties, the project team adopted targeted measures and precise solutions to ensure efficient project progress.

Facing challenges such as complex geological conditions and significant difficulties in advancing pile foundation construction, the project department immediately reviewed the site survey data, dynamically optimized the pile foundation construction process, replaced suitable drill bits according to the geological conditions at different hole locations, adjusted the drilling rate and mud specific gravity, and strengthened hole wall support and protection, effectively preventing hole collapse and deviation. At the same time, it scientifically arranged construction work faces, added pile foundation construction equipment and work crews, implemented two-shift staggered operations, refined the construction milestones for each pile foundation, and seized effective construction time. Through process optimization, additional equipment, added manpower, and full-process supervision, the project has made every effort to accelerate pile foundation construction and ensure orderly linkage and continuous flow of all processes.

Since the start of construction, under the coordinated deployment of local governments at all levels and the strong support of relevant functional departments, the project team has scientifically coordinated construction plans, refined construction measures, reversed the schedule, and used wall charts to guide operations, steadily advancing the construction of various sub-projects. At present, the project has fully achieved the "four connections" conditions of water, electricity, roads, and communications, and all types of large construction machinery and equipment have been mobilized and are in place. All participating personnel strictly manage construction safety and strictly control project quality, striving to complete and put the project into use as soon as possible and support the high-quality development of the local cultural tourism industry.
