Recently, at the site of the 15,000-ton-per-year electronic-grade copper oxide powder project of Fujian Zijin Precious Metals Materials Co., Ltd., the roar of excavators and pile drivers rose and fell as workers carried out pile foundation construction. The project, located in the Jiaoyang New Materials Industrial Park of the Shanghang Industrial Park, is a provincial key project this year.

Once completed, it will fill the gap in Shanghang's gold-copper industrial chain in the high-end electronic-grade copper oxide sector.

"Next, foundation and pile cap construction for the main works will proceed. The overall project is scheduled to be completed in November, with equipment commissioning and trial production beginning in December," said Li Huaihui, director of the company's office. Electronic-grade copper oxide powder is a key basic material for the electronic information industry, widely used in PCB printed circuit boards, semiconductor packaging, new energy batteries and other fields.

It is reported that for a long time, high-end electronic-grade copper oxide products in China have relied on imports, leaving huge room for domestic substitution. Targeting this market demand, Zijin Precious Metals has invested in the construction of the 15,000-ton-per-year electronic-grade copper oxide powder project. The project has a total floor area of 16,400 square meters and mainly involves the construction of an electronic-grade copper oxide plant, Class D warehouses, waste gas treatment facilities and other supporting works.
