The spring breeze blows vigorously, and construction is in full swing. At the construction site of the Chentian Avenue project, an 85-ton crane stands towering with its long arm reaching into the sky, and the heavy hammer rises and falls with powerful rhythm. Pile foundations, like giant steel nails, are steadily driven into the water; the mud surging from the pile driver interweaves with the ceaseless mechanical sounds, and the crisscrossing pile foundations weave a solid foundation underground, laying a firm base for this development avenue connecting Hanchuan and Xiaogan and propelling the future thoroughfare into shape at an accelerated pace.

At the construction site of the Xiannv Lake Bridge, large machinery roars as it operates, and construction workers perform their respective duties in close coordination, going all out to advance the construction of the steel temporary bridge, clearing obstacles and laying a solid foundation for the main bridge construction. On-site manager Mao Hao is leading the work team in using an 85-ton crane paired with a Model 60 vibratory hammer for steel pipe pile driving. The steel pipe piles at the abutment are driven to a depth of 18 meters, ensuring the overall stability and safety of the bridge through solid foundation construction.

To practice the concept of green development and protect the ecological environment of Xiannv Lake to the greatest extent, the project abandoned the traditional earth-and-rock temporary bridge scheme and instead adopted an environmentally friendly construction temporary bridge using Bailey trusses and steel pipe pile foundations. While ensuring construction safety and efficiency, it minimizes disturbance to the water body and surrounding ecology, achieving coordinated progress of engineering construction and ecological protection. To date, the Xiannv Lake Bridge has completed 25 pile foundations, and the main bridge of the steel temporary bridge has been built to 106 meters, with all procedures advancing in an orderly manner as planned.

Facing the Xiannv Lake Bridge across the lake, the construction site of the bridge spanning the G107 section is likewise proceeding at a tight pace and with strong momentum. Mao Hao, project manager of Xiaogan Yongcheng Construction Co., Ltd., introduced that the G107 bridge has a total length of 449.7 meters and a width of 26 meters, with a design load rating of City-A. The bridge adopts a layout of 4 spans of 13 sections, with the main span crossing over National Highway G107 via a 40+65+40-meter steel box girder, and the remaining spans using prestressed continuous cast-in-place box girders. Because the bridge over the national highway features a curved design, on-site casting technology is required, resulting in higher construction precision and organizational difficulty. The project department optimized the construction plan and coordinated manpower and machinery to ensure tight linkage of procedures and strong progress.

To ensure efficient construction progress, more than 20 pieces of various types of machinery and equipment have been deployed at the project site, and 80 to 90 construction workers have been organized, implementing multi-point operations and coordinated efforts. At present, cast-in-place construction in Section I is progressing smoothly, and the temporary bridge laying and pile foundation construction of the Xiannv Lake Bridge in Section III are advancing simultaneously. The overall construction organization is orderly and well connected, forming a good situation of multiple work fronts blooming and full-speed advancement.

Chentian Avenue is an important infrastructure component of Xiaogan's efforts to build a modern multimodal transport system of "highways + water transport + aviation," and is a powerful "new engine" for promoting the deep integration of Hanchuan and Xiaogan. The project starts at the intersection of Xiaowu Avenue and S419, extends eastward, passes under the Hanchuan-Xiaogan intercity railway, crosses over National Highway G107, connects with the already-built section of the Airport Economic Zone, and ends at the Jiehe Bridge. The entire line is built to a two-way six-lane standard, with a total length of 19.399 kilometers, of which 8.581 kilometers have been completed and opened to traffic, while the remaining 10.818 kilometers of newly built section is undergoing all-out efforts.

The project features prominent highlights in design and construction. The G107 section adopts a diamond interchange and mainline elevated crossing design, effectively avoiding traffic congestion and ensuring rapid passage of mainline vehicles; the section crossing the Xiannv Lake area adheres to ecological priority and fully adopts environmentally friendly construction techniques, safeguarding the water ecology to the greatest extent from construction plans and material selection to on-site control, achieving coordinated development of engineering construction and ecological protection. After the project is completed, it will take only 30 minutes from Xiaogan's main urban area to Wuhan Tianhe Airport, and it will also provide rapid direct access to Yangluo Port, greatly shortening the time-space distance between Hanchuan and Xiaogan and enhancing the regional comprehensive transportation capacity.

When transportation thrives, industry thrives; when transportation flows smoothly, the region becomes dynamic. Chentian Avenue is an important support for implementing the "transportation-strong district" strategy and improving the regional road network layout. A relevant person in charge of the Xiaonan District Transportation Bureau stated that the entire district is focusing on building a "123+X" integrated development pattern, and with the pragmatic work style of "daring to act and acting quickly," is coordinating the advancement of key transportation projects, leading industrial upgrading and urban quality improvement through transportation taking the lead.

As a golden corridor linking urban and rural areas and connecting to Wuhan, Chentian Avenue, once completed, will effectively connect Shouheng City, modern logistics hubs, various industrial parks, and urban functional clusters, opening up the key arteries of industrial linkage, commercial circulation, and livelihood travel. It will further improve the skeleton of Xiaonan's regional road network, expand urban development space, and activate the industrial and consumption potential along the route. Relying on this express corridor, Xiaonan will better undertake Wuhan's industrial spillover and resource radiation, promoting all-round integration between Hanchuan and Xiaogan in infrastructure, industrial coordination, livelihood services, and other fields.

The avenue stretches like a rainbow, and the pace of progress is resolute. At present, all construction sites of the Chentian Avenue project are full of vigor and advancing with determination. All participating parties are working on the front line of construction with full enthusiasm, racing against time for schedules, ensuring quality, safeguarding safety, and promoting environmental protection, going all out to push for the project's early completion and opening to traffic.

This transportation artery, carrying development expectations, is about to become a bond for Hanchuan-Xiaogan integration, an artery for industrial development, and a channel for improving people's livelihoods, injecting strong momentum into Xiaonan's accelerated efforts to build a leading area of the Wuhan metropolitan area's sub-center city and into the high-quality economic and social development of Xiaonan.
