In the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, major project construction in Jiading District has been comprehensively accelerated, with industrial projects in particular being implemented at a faster pace, injecting strong momentum into the region's industrial transformation. Recently, new progress has been reported at the Global Trade Center of Jusheng Group, located in the North Hongqiao area of Jiangqiao Town — the project has officially entered the main structure construction phase.

At the construction site, the reporter observed that pile foundation construction and foundation pit support have been fully completed, and excavation of the foundation pit is now underway. Cen Zekang, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Jusheng Industrial Group Co., Ltd., introduced that the project covers an area of 13.7 mu and plans to build six main buildings of 4 to 9 stories, with a total floor area of approximately 27,500 square meters. "In the park design, we adhere to the design concept of urban aggregation, drawing inspiration from the 'container' in the international supply chain, which is the main business of Jusheng Group. Through the continuous evolution of forms, the design presents a set of simple, modern, and dynamic staggered architectural forms," said Cen Zekang.

As an integrated service provider for bulk commodity supply chains, Shanghai Jusheng Industrial Group focuses on three core businesses: spot trading of bulk commodities, supply chain management, and trade finance. The group stated that the establishment of the Global Trade Center in Jiading is an important layout for the company to anchor itself in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District and build an international trade center. In the future, the site will be used for the group's headquarters offices, trading, and research and development, focusing on general import trade of bulk commodities, new offshore international trade, domestic trade, supply chain, and fintech businesses, further strengthening the group's development layout in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District.

"We will also attract large enterprises from upstream and downstream of the supply chain to settle in, striving to build a globally leading bulk commodity supply chain service center," said Cen Zekang. "By joining hands with various partners and financial institutions to jointly build a complete 'supply chain service ecosystem,' the company is committed to facilitating the domestic and international dual circulation of the supply chain, thereby continuously helping to enhance the resilience of China's supply chain and achieve high-quality development."

According to the plan, the Jusheng Group Global Trade Center is expected to complete its underground works in the third quarter of this year and start construction of the above-ground main structures, with structural topping-out to be completed within the year. The project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027.

The rapid progress of the Jusheng project is a microcosm of the accelerated construction of major projects in Jiading District. According to statistics, as of the end of March this year, the district's major projects had completed a cumulative investment of 3.34 billion yuan, an increase of 900 million yuan over the same period last year; the investment completion rate reached 27.6%, up 3.6 percentage points year-on-year, the highest level in history. Projects such as Yueju New Energy, Reshape New Energy, the resettlement housing project on Plot 16-08 of Huating New Town, and Shenfeng Medical have all started construction; the resettlement housing project on Plot 18-05 of Unit jdc2-0201 in Nanxiang Town has also been successfully completed. The accelerated implementation of major projects is accumulating new momentum for the high-quality development of Jiading District.
