On April 15, good news came from the construction of the Ninglang to Shangri-La section of the G7611 Duyun–Shangri-La Expressway of the National Highways Network: the first pile concreting of the Shenjiacun Bridge was successfully completed.

The Shenjiacun Bridge is located in Shenjiacun, Hongqiao Town, Ninglang County, Lijiang City. The bridge crosses Provincial Highway S307 and is one of the core control works of the entire Ningxiang Expressway. The bridge has a total length of 846.08 meters; its superstructure uses a 21×40 m T-beam layout, and the entire bridge has a total of 210 foundation piles. The substructure piers use double-column piers and thin-walled hollow piers; the thin-walled hollow piers use group pile foundations, with a maximum pile depth of 60 meters and a maximum pier height of 60.94 meters. The pile foundation successfully concreted this time was the first pier's 15a-2 pile, with a pile diameter of 1.5 meters and a pile length of 55 meters, and a cumulative concrete pour of 97.18 cubic meters. The entire construction process was orderly and standardized, with quality control fully in place.

Since the project officially started construction on November 26, 2025, with the full support and safeguards of the Ninglang County Party Committee and County Government, and under the overall guidance of Yunnan Communications Investment Group, all participating units have united their efforts and tackled difficulties in coordination, strictly ensured construction safety and project quality, optimized construction procedures, strictly controlled construction techniques, seized the construction schedule, and promoted the steady and efficient progress of all project construction tasks.

As an important component of the Duyun–Shangri-La line of National Expressway Network G7611, the Ningxiang Expressway connects Guizhou, Yunnan, and Sichuan provinces. It starts from Yanyuan County, Liangshan, Sichuan, passes through Hongqiao and Lugu Lake in Ninglang, and Labo, crosses Muli in Sichuan, and finally reaches Shangri-La in Diqing. The main line of the project has a total length of 181.243 kilometers and is built to the standard of a two-way four-lane expressway. The entire line includes 124 bridges and 39 tunnels, with a bridge-tunnel ratio as high as 82.76%. After the line is completed and opened to traffic, it will greatly improve the road network pattern at the Yunnan-Sichuan border, densify the expressway corridor in northwest Yunnan, drive cultural and tourism development in the Lugu Lake area, support rural revitalization and regional interconnection along the Ninglang route, and inject strong momentum into Lijiang's northbound transportation development.
