On April 14, as the last batch of concrete was steadily poured into the pile hole, the first pile foundation of the E ramp at the Jiepai Hub of the HHZB01 project of the Phase I S24 Hangzhou-Hefei Expressway was successfully completed, marking that this important expressway corridor connecting Anhui and Zhejiang provinces has entered the substantive construction stage and injected new momentum into the integrated transportation development of the Yangtze River Delta.

The Phase I project of the Xuancheng section of the S24 Hangzhou-Hefei Expressway has a total route length of approximately 84.44 kilometers, adopting a two-way six-lane standard with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The project is located at the junction of Anhui Province and Zhejiang Province on the east side of Guangde City, covering key nodes such as the Jiepai Hub and the Guangde North Hub, and includes multiple bridges and culverts, with a complex construction environment and high technical standard requirements.

This expressway is a key longitudinal corridor in the "Anhui Province Expressway Network Plan (2024-2035)". Once completed, it will directly connect the two major metropolitan areas of Hangzhou and Hefei, effectively diverting traffic pressure from the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway and the G4012 Liyang-Ningde Expressway, greatly shortening the travel time and distance from Xuancheng to Zhejiang, and has important strategic significance for promoting higher-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
