With tower cranes standing in clusters, vehicles shuttling back and forth, and equipment roaring, the construction site of the Zhajiasu Expressway reconstruction and expansion project was bustling with activity on a spring day. In the first quarter of this year, the project completed an investment of 140 million yuan, with overall physical progress reaching 22.6%. Sections SG01 and SG03 have fully entered the large-scale construction stage of the lime-soil subgrade works. The first pile cap of the mainline bridge at the Xiuzhou Interchange in Section SG02 was successfully poured, with key nodes achieving strong breakthroughs and a successful first-quarter "good start."

As a key project in Zhejiang Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" comprehensive transportation plan, the Zhajiasu reconstruction and expansion project is a critical support for opening up the north-south corridor of the Yangtze River Delta and enhancing the carrying capacity of the regional road network. The project command headquarters closely followed the "Year of Forging Ahead" work deployment of Zhejiang Communications Group, adhered to early planning and early deployment, fully implemented wall-chart operations, worked backward from construction schedules, and efficiently coordinated with all participating units to complete post-holiday resumption inspections and formulate refined resumption plans. In response to the complex challenge of pipeline relocation in the Xiuzhou section, the project command headquarters established a special task force, proactively coordinated with local governments and relevant units, and precisely cleared the bottlenecks. In Section SG02, the successful completion of the first main pier pile cap (70-2#) of the Xiuzhou Interchange mainline bridge not only verified the feasibility of the construction plan but also provided a replicable standard example for pile cap construction along the entire line.

In a century-long undertaking, quality comes first. Focusing on the construction of a safe, century-lasting quality project, the project command headquarters held a special meeting on pile foundation quality control, directly addressing construction difficulties and formulating full-chain control rules. Technical task forces were simultaneously established in all sections to implement closed-loop management throughout the entire process, from hole-forming technology and concrete mix proportions to pouring monitoring. At the same time, the "first-piece system" was fully implemented across the board, achieving construction standardization through full-process verification of procedures, and the scoring system of "high quality, high price; excellent supervision, excellent remuneration" was improved to strengthen whole-process quality management, ensuring that every inch of subgrade and every pile foundation can withstand the test of time.

Safety is the lifeline of project construction. Since the first quarter, the project command headquarters has safeguarded project quality improvement and acceleration with systematic management. At the start of work resumption, the project immediately organized a full-coverage major safety inspection, conducting comprehensive checks on key links such as deep foundation pits and temporary electricity use, while simultaneously carrying out a special campaign to "clear" safety hazards, strictly implementing the requirement of "resume work only at sites that pass acceptance." In addition, the project launched a grid-based safety management mini-program and compiled a "work-site factory-ization" safety protection manual, promoting the transformation of safety management toward digitalization and standardization.

Next, the Zhajiasu reconstruction and expansion project of Zhejiang Communications Group will go all out to sprint toward the key node of road closure construction at mid-year, ensuring that both annual investment and physical progress meet targets, and injecting strong momentum into the improvement of the Yangtze River Delta comprehensive transportation system and high-quality regional economic development with first-class transportation infrastructure.
