Pile Foundation on Xishui Side Officially Commences

On March 4, the 24-1 pile foundation of the right approach bridge of the S409 Xiaba River Grand Bridge Widening and Reconstruction Project was successfully constructed. The project team quickly assembled and advanced at full speed, strictly implementing safety production and quality control requirements, seizing the golden construction period, and efficiently organizing personnel, machinery, and materials for construction. From March 2 to 8, a total of 5 pile foundations were completed on the Xishui side, demonstrating the "acceleration" of resuming work and production through solid achievements.

Next, we will continue to press forward with intensified efforts, fully advance pile foundation construction, strive to achieve a "good start" in the first quarter, and lay a solid foundation for the overall progress of the project.

Construction Project Management Department Conducts Random Inspection of Pile Foundation Quality on Huangzhou Side

On March 6, the Construction Project Management Department carried out a special random inspection of the pile foundations on the Huangzhou side of the S409 Xiaba River Grand Bridge Widening and Reconstruction Project to further verify the construction quality of the pile foundations and ensure the safety of the engineering structure.

This pile foundation random inspection was carried out in strict accordance with specification requirements, with a sampling ratio of 10% of the total number of pile foundations meeting the time requirements for pile inspection. The specific inspection scope included 4 approach bridge pile foundations and 2 main pier pile foundations of the main bridge. The inspection process was standardized and orderly throughout, ensuring that the testing data were authentic, accurate, and valid.

It is reported that prior to this random inspection by the Construction Project Management Department, the construction unit had already completed self-inspection of all pile foundations meeting the time requirements for pile inspection in strict accordance with construction specifications and design requirements. The supervision unit also carried out random inspections of pile foundations simultaneously, ensuring through dual control that the pile foundation construction quality meets standards.

This special random inspection is a re-verification and re-consolidation of the previous pile foundation construction quality, further tightening the quality responsibilities of all participating parties. Next, the Construction Project Management Department will continue to strengthen project quality control, closely monitor key processes, and ensure high-quality progress of the project.

Main Tower Pile Foundation Construction Sprinting to Completion

On March 8, the main tower 20-18 pile foundation of the S409 Xiaba River Grand Bridge Widening and Reconstruction Project [was under construction]. Currently, only 2 main tower pile foundations remain, and the main tower pile foundation construction task is expected to be fully completed by March 13.

Since the commencement of the main bridge pile foundation on January 16, the project department has seized favorable construction opportunities, organized scientifically, allocated resources reasonably, and made every effort to accelerate construction progress. During construction, all personnel overcame difficulties and strove to be first, strictly controlling construction quality and safety production, and advancing each process in an orderly manner.

Currently, the main tower pile foundation construction has entered the final sprint stage. The project will continue to closely follow the milestones, seize the construction period, and ensure the main tower pile foundation construction is completed on schedule, laying a solid foundation for the next stage of main tower cap construction.

Project Progress

CCCC Second Harbor Engineering:

1. Huangzhou-side main pier construction platform: a cumulative total of 66 m completed (total 216 m).

2. Approach bridge demolition: 16 T-beams of the old bridge demolished, with a cumulative total of 72 completed (total 105); a cumulative total of 1 pier demolished (total 11); a cumulative total of 1 bent cap demolished (total 11).

3. Main bridge main pier pile foundations: 3 pile foundations completed this period, with a cumulative total of 20 completed (total 22).

China Construction Third Engineering Bureau:

5 approach bridge pile foundations completed, with a cumulative total of 39 completed (total 163).

Chutong Road & Bridge:

Special subgrade treatment: cumulative dredging completed 44,142 m³; cumulative backfilling completed 37,000 m³ (total 45,953 m³).
