Since February 24 (the eighth day of the first lunar month), when the two major traffic control projects—Jinyu Bridge and Baiqi Passage—took the lead in resuming work, as of March 3, the construction of transportation projects in Quanzhou has fully shifted from "holiday mode" to "sprint mode." At present, all 27 key transportation projects have achieved 100% resumption of work, and construction forces have been rapidly assembled in place, laying a solid foundation for a strong start to the city's transportation construction in the first quarter.
Two Major Passages Advance Together, Racing Against Time on Dual Fronts
As the core control projects of the city's transportation construction, Jinyu Bridge and Baiqi Passage took the lead in resuming work, with both construction sites showing an intense, bustling atmosphere of tackling key tasks. As of March 3, Jinyu Bridge had 426 workers returned to their posts, 59 machines on site, and 13 work points resumed; Baiqi Passage had 449 workers returned, 73 machines on site, and 15 work points resumed. Both major projects have achieved full resumption of work and production.

Jinyu Bridge has entered the final sprint stage. In Section A1, all 15 works including pile foundations, pile caps, and road base courses have been completed, with pier columns and cast-in-place box girders over 90% complete. In Section A2, the main structure construction is in full swing, with processes such as pile foundations, pier caps, and cast-in-place box girders advancing in an orderly manner. For Baiqi Passage, the trestle bridges have all been erected, and the main structure and roadbed works are advancing simultaneously. In Section A1, pile foundation construction is nearly 90% complete, with pile caps, pier columns, and the main tower progressing on schedule; in Section A2, the retaining piles and main trestle have been completed, the launching of steel pipes for water pile foundations is nearing completion, pile foundation construction has exceeded 90%, and ancillary works such as roadbed, pipe networks, and retaining walls are being carried out concurrently. Overall construction of the project's structures has passed the halfway mark, and the pace of construction has been comprehensively accelerated.
Dual-Bridge Demonstration Drives Citywide Construction to Speed Up
Driven by the demonstration effect of the two major bridge projects, a construction boom is surging across the city's key transportation projects. As of March 2, the Anxi Chengxiang–Guanqiao Section Project of National Highway 358 had 190 workers returned, and achieved full resumption of work on March 3. At present, Section 4 of the project is orderly advancing precast girders, roadbed, and slope works; Section 5 is preparing for asphalt concrete surface layer construction while simultaneously advancing ancillary works such as landscaping and traffic safety facilities.
Meanwhile, a batch of key projects including the Nan'an Shuitou Xinying–Xiamen Boundary Section Highway Project of National Highway 324 have also resumed work. The city's transportation construction front is closely tracking milestones and fighting according to plans, striving with the posture of "the start is the decisive battle, the first step is the sprint" to secure a strong start in the first quarter, and supporting the city's high-quality development with the solid backing of transportation project construction.
