On February 24, the project officially resumed work, workers returned to their posts, and the roar of machinery sounded once again. On the construction front at the foot of Mount Tai, the upsurge of "sprinting from the start" was surging everywhere, striking up a spring "song of endeavor" for project construction.
At the continuous beam construction site of the Panghe Grand Bridge crossing Provincial Highway S103 (the Jinan-Zaozhuang Line), green insulated tarpaulins tightly enclosed the work area, and builders were carrying out rebar tying and concrete pouring in an intense and orderly manner. Although the outdoor temperature was not high, the shed maintained a suitable environment of around 30°C through heating and humidification measures. "This is a key measure for winter construction; only by ensuring temperature and humidity can concrete strength and structural safety be guaranteed," introduced Zhang Hongyang, technical director of the rack team of the Second Sub-division of Section III of the Jinan-Zaozhuang High-speed Railway. The continuous beam has a total length of 249.5 meters. Since the above-ground beam body construction started in October 2025, 80% has been completed so far, and the full-bridge closure is expected to be achieved on April 15 this year, opening up a key passage for subsequent beam erection and line connectivity.
The starting and ending mileage of the Second Sub-division of Section III of the Jinan-Zaozhuang High-speed Railway is DK61+600-DK80+227.045, with a total length of 18.6 kilometers, including 2.2 kilometers for Tai'an East Station and 16.4 kilometers for the Panghe Grand Bridge. At present, the completion rate of the pier column structures on the section's line has reached 86%, and 95 box girders have been erected for the entire Section III.
At the Tai'an Girder Fabrication Yard of China State Construction Engineering Corporation not far away, work was likewise busy and orderly. The girder yard undertakes the prefabrication task of 796 box girders. Up to now, the girder yard has produced 160 girders. Since resuming work after the holiday, 80% of workers have returned to their posts, and the production line has fully restarted. "This year we will go all out to speed up girder production and guarantee the girder supply for the 26-kilometer line," said the on-site person in charge.

The Taishan District section of the Jinan-Zaozhuang High-speed Railway has a long construction mileage and heavy tasks, with an extremely high proportion of bridges. This section mainly includes 17.738 kilometers of bridges and 2.486 kilometers of subgrade; in particular, the construction of continuous beams crossing provincial highways and rivers is technically difficult and carries high safety risks. Since entering above-ground beam body construction last October, the builders have overcome many unfavorable factors. Up to now, pier column construction within the scope of the Second Sub-division of Section III has been completed by 86%, box girder erection is advancing steadily, and all construction is proceeding in an orderly manner according to plan.
Behind the bustling project construction is inseparable from efficient and strong service guarantees. Staff of the Land Acquisition and Demolition Work Command for the Jinan-Zaozhuang High-speed Railway Project in Taishan District said that the main line's land acquisition and demolition tasks were completed last year, and the focus of work has fully shifted to follow-up improvement of land acquisition and demolition, construction of resettlement buildings, and coordination services for project construction. "We will continue to do a good job in guarantee and coordination during construction and escort the project construction," the staff member said.
Along the 18.6-kilometer construction front, multiple work faces such as bridge pile foundations, pile caps and pier bodies, continuous beams, and subgrade filling are advancing simultaneously. Data show that at present, nearly 90% of the bridge pile foundations in the Taishan District section have been completed, over 70% of the pile caps have been completed, and more than 92% of the pile foundation construction for Tai'an East Station has been completed.
