Recently, pile foundation construction for the CATARC Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Innovation Base project got underway smoothly, marking a new step forward in the intelligent and connected upgrading of China's automotive industry.

The project covers an area of about 146.7 mu, with a total floor area of more than 100,000 square meters and a total investment of about 1.5 billion yuan. It will build five modern inspection workshops and supporting facilities for intelligent driving, intelligent cockpits, information security, and connected architecture. The project plans to complete the topping-out of the main structure in October 2026, meet completion acceptance conditions in mid-2027, and be officially put into operation in 2028.

Once completed, the project will focus on building a full-chain innovation ecosystem spanning technology R&D, testing and verification, and regulatory support. It will become core infrastructure driving the intelligent and connected upgrading of China's automotive industry and provide solid hardware support for high-quality industrial development.

The project construction team is pressing ahead with construction, strictly implementing the mechanisms of reverse-scheduled milestones and wall-chart operations, and advancing construction at full speed while strictly upholding the safety production bottom line and ensuring project quality. At the same time, Dongli Economic Development Zone will precisely match project needs and build a service system covering the full cycle, all elements, and the entire chain, focusing on six key areas: project construction, platform operation, industrial clustering, scenario opening, safety supervision, and element support. It will provide long-term and stable service support for the development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry and make every effort to ensure the project is completed, put into use, and delivers results as early as possible.
