On January 19, the Huanggang Interchange overpass crossing the Dezhou-Shanghai Expressway, a control project of the Shanxian-Caoxian section of the Xuzhou-Minhe Expressway, made new progress. As a rotary drilling rig started up, the 10-4# pile foundation of the overpass officially began drilling, marking that construction of the project's main structure has entered its final critical stage.

The Huanggang Interchange Bridge, constructed by China Railway No. 9 Engineering Group and other units, is an important node for optimizing the road network layout in southwestern Shandong. The 10-4# pile foundation that began drilling is designed to a depth of 66.4 meters with a diameter of 1.8 meters, representing large-diameter deep pile construction with relatively high technical requirements. To ensure smooth construction, the project team completed detailed supplementary geological surveys, expert review of the construction plan, and comprehensive training of operating personnel before commencement.

During construction, technical personnel monitored and controlled key parameters such as drilling verticality and penetration rate throughout the process to ensure hole quality. The smooth start of drilling for this pile foundation has accumulated practical experience for subsequent similar pile foundation construction. According to the plan, the project department will continue to advance the construction of the remaining pile foundations and the bridge substructure.

The Shanxian-Caoxian section of the Xuzhou-Minhe Expressway is an important corridor connecting Xuzhou, Jiangsu, with Heze, Shandong, and its construction plays a positive role in improving the regional expressway network and promoting economic and social development along the route. As a key interchange project on this section, the Huanggang Interchange will effectively enhance traffic transfer efficiency between the Dezhou-Shanghai Expressway and the Xuzhou-Minhe Expressway and ease regional traffic pressure once completed.
