On January 4, at the Tianfu Station building under construction, workers were installing the indoor ceiling of the waiting hall. On site, the station has begun to take shape.

Tianfu Station is located in Chengdu, with a total station yard scale of 12 platforms and 22 tracks; the station has 3 above-ground floors and 2 underground floors. At present, indoor ceiling work in the waiting hall of the Tianfu Station project is in full swing, and the exterior facade curtain wall glass is being installed. It is expected that by the end of this month, the building envelope structures such as the exterior facade curtain wall and the large indoor ceiling installation will be completed. Next, Tianfu Station will enter the stage of interior decoration and electromechanical equipment installation, and is expected to be fully completed this year.

Tianfu Station is the starting station of the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway. Departing from here, this 350 km/h high-speed railway will in the future pass through Ziyang, Suining, Nanchong, and Dazhou in Sichuan Province as well as Kaizhou District and Wanzhou District in Chongqing, and finally connect to the existing Wanzhou North Station on the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-Speed Railway. It is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2027.

At present, apart from Tianfu Station, construction sites of the 7 newly built stations along the entire line are also bustling. At the end of December 2025, Lezhi Station completed the construction of its main structure and shifted to the decoration and equipment installation stage; Quxian North Station completed the installation of the roof steel grid and began construction of the station building's metal roof and indoor and outdoor decoration. Up to now, all 7 stations are in the stage of full-scale construction, and overall construction is progressing according to plan.

In addition to station buildings, line construction is also accelerating. Before the New Year's Day holiday, the Guangming Tunnel, a key tunnel connecting Sichuan and Chongqing on the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway, was holed through. The tunnel is located at the border between Kaijiang in Sichuan and Kaizhou in Chongqing, with a total length of 8,468.8 meters. "Tunnel construction took more than 3 years," said Zhang Zongwei, commander of the Dazhou Construction Command of the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway Company. More than 600 builders worked simultaneously on 4 working faces and successfully overcame many difficulties such as mud and water inrushes, gas and harmful gas exceeding limits.

At present, the subgrade works of the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway have completed about 46 million cubic meters, accounting for 98.87%; bridge pile foundations, pile caps, and pier shafts have all been completed, and 3 of the 4 swivel bridges have been completed. The entire line has entered the construction stage of ballastless track beds, station building works, and communication, signal, power, and electrification works.

Looking across Sichuan, railways built and under construction in the province cover 21 cities and prefectures; the railway operating mileage has exceeded 7,000 kilometers, and high-speed railway operating mileage has risen to 11th place nationwide.
