On December 20, the main structure of the new terminal at the Ningbo Daxie Container Terminal Phase II Project, constructed by the Fourth Company of CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., was fully completed, and the project has moved into the final stage of ancillary facilities.

The project is located east of the existing container terminal. It involves the construction of a new 300-meter terminal platform and the reinforcement of the original No. 1 berth to enable it to accommodate 200,000-ton-class container ships.

The construction sea area has complex geological conditions, with exposed bedrock, steep slopes, and narrow working space. More than half of the project's pile foundations need to be embedded in rock layers, posing great technical challenges, and the effective working time is limited due to tides and typhoons.

The project team innovatively applied the "construction technology for pile-stabilizing platform erection on bare rock and rock-socketed inclined piles," optimized the design and construction coordination of the steel platform, and overcame the pile stabilization challenges under complex sea conditions. Through scientific organization and coordinated land and water operations, the project completed all superstructure construction within four months.

To improve the durability of the project, the project applied the "embedded sacrificial anode technology for concrete" on a large scale for the first time in a domestic port and marine engineering project, which can effectively extend the anti-corrosion life of steel reinforcement structures, and used a digital platform to implement full-process monitoring.
