Recently, construction has fully started on a key control project of the Shiyan Zixiao Avenue Link Road — a nearly 2-kilometer-long elevated bridge, which is also currently the largest-scale and longest-mainline elevated bridge under construction in the urban area.

December 17In the morning, excavators were carrying out site leveling and excavation for pile caps, while large drilling and piling machinery were operating in an orderly manner.The pile foundation currently under construction is Pile No. 14 of the bridge, with a diameter of 1.5 meters and an effective pile length of 22 meters below ground; the bridge deck height is 14 meters above ground at this pile location.

A total of 224 pile foundation pits are being excavated for the large elevated bridge of the Zixiao Avenue Link Road, with an average depth of about 19 meters below ground. Among them, one riverbed pile foundation reaches a buried depth of 29 meters below ground. At present, 29 pile foundations have been excavated and poured at the construction site, and the bridge pile foundation works have officially started,markingthe full-scale commencement of the bridge project construction.The large elevated bridge of the Zixiao Avenue Link Road has a total length of about 1.9 kilometers, a designed bridge width of 19 meters, and dual-direction four lanes; it iscurrently one of the larger-scale and longest-mainline elevated bridges in the urban area.

The bridge runs along Dujiawan in the Dongcheng Development Zone, crosses the Si River and Heilongjiang Road, passes through the former Chitian old factory area, crosses Dongfeng Avenue, and connects with the Zixiao Tunnel near the Longmen Industrial Park.The Zixiao Avenue Link Road project is an urban main road with a total length of about 2.6 kilometers.Of this, the road section is 0.72 kilometers long, and the remainder is mainly the elevated bridge project. At present, more than half of the mountain excavation for the road project has been completed, and the bridge project is advancing in an orderly manner.The bridge pile foundation works are expected to be completed by June next year, the erection of piers and box girders is expected to be completed by September next year, the bridge deck paving is expected to be completed by December next year, and the main bridge works are expected to be fully completed by the end of next year.
