On December 8, the hard-rock reaming shaft boring machine "Jingtingshan," independently developed by CRCHI, achieved a precise breakthrough in the exhaust shaft of the Ningguo Pumped Storage Power Station in Anhui, marking the successful completion of the exhaust shaft construction task for the station and laying a solid foundation for the project's subsequent construction.

It is understood that the exhaust shaft of the Ningguo project has notable characteristics such as a large diameter, great depth, and high construction risk. "Jingtingshan" was tailor-made for the complex geological conditions of the Ningguo Pumped Storage Power Station, with an excavation diameter of 7.03 meters, integrating automated control, efficient rock breaking, and rapid mucking. The tunneling area is dominated by hard rock, with an average stratum hardness of up to 110 MPa.

Since its launch on August 24 this year, "Jingtingshan" has demonstrated strong adaptability and stability in poor geological sections, successfully traversing approximately 85 meters of unfavorable geology and achieving a tunneling speed of 10.2 meters per shift, fully verifying its reliability and efficiency under complex geological conditions.

As a new member of CRCHI's shaft construction equipment family, "Jingtingshan," with its innovative construction method and intelligent design, not only provides a better equipment solution for shaft construction at pumped storage power stations but also effectively enhances the safety and technical maturity of deep and large shaft construction. Its replicable and promotable practical experience also provides new equipment support and construction method references for deep and large shaft projects in mining, transportation, and other fields, strongly promoting the progress and upgrading of China's deep underground engineering construction technology.
