On November 29, the 200 MW wind power and energy storage integrated project of the third phase of Guangxi China Resources Power Wuzhou Cangwu Liubao achieved full-capacity grid connection. The project has officially entered the production and operation stage, injecting strong green momentum into the optimization and upgrading of the energy structure in the eastern Guangxi region, and helping the region achieve its "dual carbon" goals.
The project is located in the ridge areas of Shatou Town and Shiqiao Town, Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The total planned capacity of the wind farm is 200 MW, equipped with a 40 MW/80 MWh energy storage system, forming a "wind-storage integrated" operation model. This phase constructs 175 MW, with a total of 28 wind turbine units of 6.25 MW each. The generator unit hub center height is 125 meters, the hub weight is 51.53 tons, the single blade length is 108 meters and the weight is 35.12 tons, and the total weight of the nacelle is 154 tons. Power is connected to China Southern Power Grid through a newly built 220 kV booster station and dedicated transmission lines, and ultimately transmitted outward via a ±500 kV DC ultra-high voltage line.
Since the project started on December 9, 2024, the construction team has overcome multiple challenges such as difficult transportation of large equipment and narrow on-site working platforms, achieving the first grid connection in only 7 months, with construction efficiency reaching a leading level among similar projects. After the project is put into operation, the annual power generation is expected to reach 610 million kWh, saving about 184,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 610,000 tons each year. The full-capacity grid connection of the project not only brings significant ecological and environmental benefits to Guangxi, but will also play multiple values in the economic and social fields.
