On the afternoon of November 24, Zoomlion Smart Agriculture Co., Ltd. and the Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center held a cooperation and exchange symposium at Yuelushan Laboratory. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the deep integration of smart agriculture technologies and rice scientific research innovation, identified multiple cooperation directions, and committed to jointly advancing the digital, precise, and efficient transformation and upgrading of the rice industry.

Xu Jingbo, Vice President of the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Party Secretary of the Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center, Yao Xiaoxiang, General Manager of Zoomlion Smart Agriculture, Wang Changgui, Deputy Chief Engineer, and key research personnel from both sides participated in the symposium.

At the symposium, the two sides exchanged views on multiple cooperation directions and reached preliminary consensus. In terms of cultivation technology, the two sides will continue to explore the innovative "Double Breakthrough, Double Establishment" model for double-season rice and plan to introduce more varieties for verification work. Leveraging Zoomlion Smart Agriculture's own farm and meteorological data platforms, they will jointly promote the demonstration and extension of this model as well as the collaborative optimization of the industrial chain. At the same time, both sides will closely monitor the follow-up trial progress of the special fertilization project for low-cadmium rice and actively promote the transformation and application of its results.

In terms of per-unit yield improvement, Zoomlion Smart Agriculture will draw on the successful experience of the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and, combining its own technological advantages and digital management platform, carry out smart agriculture integration demonstration work in major grain-producing counties such as Huarong to help achieve large-scale increases in rice per-unit yield. The two sides also discussed cooperation on rapid identification and prevention and control of rice blast, as well as issues existing in the implementation and application of intelligent equipment developed by agricultural research institutes.

The successful holding of this symposium marks that the cooperation between the two sides has entered a new stage featuring all-round and in-depth development. In the future, the two sides will fully integrate scientific research innovation and industrial practice, strive to break through key core technologies, promote the intelligent upgrading of the rice industry, and make positive contributions to serving the national food security strategy and realizing agricultural modernization.
