Recently, the electrochemical energy storage portion of the grid-side independent energy storage demonstration project in Huade County, undertaken by Hebei Engineering Company, has achieved full-capacity grid connection.

The project is located within Huade County, Ulanqab City, and involves the construction of a new centralized energy storage power station with a total installed capacity of 100 MW/400 MWh, adopting an electrochemical energy storage plus hydrogen energy storage scheme. This technology effectively establishes an intelligent regulation system of "storing electricity during off-peak periods and discharging during peak periods," which not only effectively smooths fluctuations in renewable energy generation but also provides solid support for the coordinated development of local "wind-solar-storage" integration.

During the construction period, in the face of multiple difficulties such as a tight schedule and low-temperature winter construction, the project team optimized the construction plan, strengthened technical research, and organized and coordinated scientifically. Through practical dedication, they embodied the spirit of the "Power Construction Iron Army" and built the "Power Construction Brand" through hard work, making every effort to ensure the orderly progress of the project. After grid connection, the project can provide short-term capacity support to the local power grid and plays a positive role in peak shaving and frequency regulation, promoting renewable energy consumption, and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid. It is of great significance for enhancing the flexibility and reliability of the local energy system, optimizing the energy structure of the Inner Mongolia region, and promoting the sustainable development of the local economy.
