On November 10, relying on years of professional expertise and a solid market reputation in Kenya, PowerChina Municipal Construction Company officially signed the contract for the Koben Dam Water Supply Project in Nandi County with the Lake Victoria North Water Services Board of Kenya.

The project is located in Nandi County, approximately 300 kilometers northwest of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The main construction scope includes the design and construction of a 43-meter-high dam with a storage capacity of 5 million cubic meters, and a water treatment plant with a daily treatment capacity of 26,715 cubic meters; the laying of approximately 84 kilometers of gravity-fed main water transmission pipelines, as well as an 800-kilometer "last mile" water distribution connection network and an intelligent monitoring and management system. Once completed, the project will fundamentally optimize the local water supply system, improve residents' drinking water and regional irrigation conditions, and have far-reaching significance for promoting the sustainable development of Nandi County and the northwestern region of Kenya.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Julius Korir, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Water of Kenya, and Mr. Joel Wamalwa, General Manager of the Lake Victoria North Water Services Board, highly recognized and affirmed the professional capabilities and performance standards of PowerChina Municipal Construction Company in water projects in Kenya, and expressed the hope that the company will actively participate in more water conservancy project construction.
