Recently, the Saudi Jafurah Cogeneration Project undertaken by PowerChina Nuclear Engineering Company was officially awarded the Taking-Over Certificate (TOC). At present, the Saudi Jafurah Cogeneration Project has fully completed all construction and commissioning tasks stipulated in the contract and has smoothly entered a new phase of warranty operation, becoming a solid footnote to the high-quality development of China-Saudi Belt and Road cooperation.

Located in the core area of the Jafurah gas field in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, the Saudi Jafurah Cogeneration Project is a key vehicle for aligning China-Saudi Belt and Road cooperation with Saudi Vision 2030, and an important node in energy connectivity along the China-Central Asia-West Asia Economic Corridor. As a core supporting project for the development of the Jafurah gas field, it undertakes the core function of supplying steam, electricity and water to the gas processing plant. Its construction scope covers the construction and installation of one gas turbine, one steam turbine, one heat recovery boiler, two auxiliary boilers, an ACC air-cooled condenser island, a 230kV substation and ancillary facilities.
