On the morning of November 2 local time, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, accompanied by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, inspected the Serbian National Football Stadium project undertaken by PowerChina.

At the project construction site, President Vučić carefully listened to the report by the PowerChina project team on construction progress, technical execution standards, and quality and safety control, inquired in detail about the key construction milestones and safeguard measures, and spoke highly of the results achieved in the efficient advancement of the project. Vučić said that two years ago this site was still undeveloped open land, and the construction blueprint for the National Football Stadium was only at the planning stage. Today, thanks to the joint efforts of both China and Serbia, the construction of the project's main structure is progressing steadily and all progress indicators are being delivered in an orderly manner. This leapfrog construction speed not only fulfills the Serbian government's commitment to its people, but also demonstrates the strong momentum of China-Serbia practical cooperation in driving development. The construction of the National Football Stadium is not only an important milestone in Serbia's sports development, but also symbolizes Serbia's confidence and determination for open cooperation and a future-oriented outlook. He thanked the project team for their hard work and dedication, and expressed the hope that PowerChina will maintain this enthusiasm for work, complete the project construction at an early date, and inject new impetus into the deepened development of the China-Serbia strategic partnership.

The Serbian National Football Stadium is a world-class modern football stadium with a designed capacity of 52,000 seats that simultaneously meets the standards of FIFA, UEFA and the UEFA Champions League. In addition to football matches, once completed it will also be capable of hosting concerts, exhibitions and large-scale public events and other multi-functional uses, becoming a modern urban landmark of Serbia.

Relevant heads of the PowerChina Eurasia Regional Headquarters and the Serbia Representative Office participated in the inspection.
