At 22:00 on November 1, the Tuoqu Power Station of the Guangxi Tuoying Reservoir Hub Project, constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 15 Co., Ltd., was officially connected to the grid for power generation, marking that the reservoir power station has officially begun to deliver power-generation benefits, supplying a steady stream of clean energy to the Zhuang homeland and promoting people's well-being and high-quality economic and social development.

Since the start of construction, all construction personnel of Sinohydro Bureau 15 have fully carried forward the corporate spirit of "constant self-improvement and the courage to surpass," with scientific planning and meticulous organization, overcoming difficulties such as inconvenient external transportation and complex construction conditions, and completing key milestones to high standards, including river closure for the dam, main dam filling, dam crest capping, irrigation system commissioning, and trial operation of the generating units. With "Power Construction speed" and "Power Construction quality," they have helped southwestern Guangxi further achieve the livelihood goals of "irrigated farmland, water supply for urban and rural areas, and clean energy added to the power grid." The project participated in the compilation of one national specification, "Code for Construction of Aqueducts in Hydropower and Water Resources Projects," and obtained six achievements, including provincial- and ministerial-level construction methods and a Shaanxi Provincial QC achievement.

The Guangxi Tuoying Reservoir Hub Project is a newly built water source project of the Guangxi Zuojiang Drought Control Tuoying Reservoir and Irrigation District Project, consisting of a barrage dam, spillway and flood discharge tunnel, canal-head power station and downstream dam power station, diversion tunnel, open channel, aqueduct, and other structures. The reservoir has a total storage capacity of 227.6 million cubic meters; the dam crest has a total length of 225 meters and a width of 8 meters, with a crest elevation of 233.2 meters and a maximum dam height of 72.2 meters; the total installed capacity is 20.6 megawatts, with an expected average annual power generation of 52.44 gigawatt-hours and an annual equivalent full-load utilization hours of 2,545 hours.

The Guangxi Zuojiang Drought Control Tuoying Reservoir and Irrigation District Project is one of the 172 major national water conservation and water supply projects. Once completed, the project will be of great significance for building the basin flood control system, ensuring basin flood control safety, developing irrigated agriculture, accommodating rural water supply, optimizing the energy structure, and driving accelerated economic and social development along the river.
