Rental Rate Index 

In September 2025, the rental rate index for aerial work platforms was 686 points, a slight month-on-month decrease of 1.9% and a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. Overall, in September, the month-on-month rental rate indices of various models showed mixed movements, with the index for 20–24m models rising 5.3% month-on-month, while that for models above 40m fell 11.4% month-on-month. In September 2025, the year-on-year rental rate indices all showed broad increases, with the increases for 20–35m models all exceeding double digits; the increase for 26–28m models reached 19.4%, while that for models above 40m was only 0.3%, essentially flat. (The rental rate is calculated on the basis of unit-days, with a 100% rental rate corresponding to 1000 points.)

 Rental Price Index 

According to statistical calculations based on reported data, the rental price index for aerial work platforms in September 2025 decreased slightly by 1.4% month-on-month. Overall, in September, the month-on-month rental price indices of various models showed both increases and decreases, with the decline for models above 40m reaching 4.3%, while the month-on-month increase for models ≤6m reached 3.9%. In September 2025, the year-on-year rental price index for aerial work platforms decreased by 11.6%, with the year-on-year rental price indices of all models in decline; among them, 8–12m models had the smallest year-on-year decline at 6.8%, while 36–39m models saw a year-on-year decline of 15.1%.

Since July 2022, when the Construction Machinery Leasing Branch began compiling statistics for the aerial work platform leasing prosperity index, it has continuously optimized the statistical calculation methods. In the future, it will continue to improve the statistical indicators and methods in order to reflect market conditions more scientifically and accurately for the reference of industry enterprises.
