On October 26, the 100 MW centralized photovoltaic power generation project of CGN New Energy in Xichou, constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 14 Co., Ltd., was successfully connected to the grid for power generation.

The Xichou centralized photovoltaic power generation project is located in Xichou County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, with terrain slopes of 20°–45°. It adopts an industrial model of "power generation on the panels and planting beneath the panels" for dual use of the same land, covers an area of about 2,400 mu, and has a total installed capacity of 100 MW, consisting of two sections. This section has a rated capacity of 44.4 MW and consists of 17 photovoltaic sub-arrays, one 110 kV booster station, and four 35 kV collector lines.

Since the start of construction, in the face of multiple challenges such as steep mountain slopes, a long rainy season, inconvenient material transportation, and a tight schedule, the project team has practiced the spirit of "waiting is not the solution; only action brings hope," firmly established the construction philosophy of "safety first, quality foremost, and the pursuit of excellence," used targets to drive progress, worked backward from milestones to schedule the construction period, continuously optimized construction organization, and comprehensively strengthened resource guarantees. At the same time, it innovatively applied "AI violation identification safety control technology" to build an "aerial safe construction corridor," effectively achieving the construction goal of "zero safety accidents" and ensuring the safe, high-quality, and efficient advancement of the project.

After the project is completed, it will promote the development of the regional green energy industry, help achieve the "dual carbon" goals, and at the same time play a positive role in driving local employment and promoting the coordinated development of the economy and the ecological environment.
