On the morning of October 24, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sunward Mining and Rock Equipment Project was held, marking the addition of another "new force" to the park's equipment manufacturing industry. Jiang Hongbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, announced the start of construction. District leaders Zhao Wenjiao and Lai Kunming, along with Xia Zhihong, General Manager of Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., and Zhu Jianxin, Deputy General Manager, attended the event.

Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. is an enterprise mainly engaged in the production, manufacturing and sales of engineering equipment, special equipment and aviation equipment. It has successfully developed more than 400 specifications and models of high-end equipment products with independent intellectual property rights and core competitiveness across more than ten fields, including underground engineering equipment, full-series excavators, aerial machinery, complete mining equipment, lifting machinery, agricultural and forestry machinery, rail engineering equipment, oil and gas pipeline equipment, hydraulic components, special equipment and general aviation equipment. The Sunward Mining and Rock Equipment Project that broke ground this time is located south of Kaiyuan East Road and east of the planned road in the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone. The project has a total investment of 2 billion yuan, including fixed asset investment of 360 million yuan in the first phase, and a total land area of 65.55 mu. It mainly involves the construction of office buildings and production workshops for the R&D, manufacturing and sales of rock drilling equipment. It is expected that once the project reaches full production, it will form an annual production capacity of more than 600 units of mining and rock equipment, achieve an annual output value of 1 billion yuan, and generate an annual economic contribution of 30 million yuan.
