On October 20, the main works of the Jiaohua Reservoir in Hunan Province were completed.

During construction of the dam body, the project team innovatively applied the high-lift continuous formwork climbing process and the full-section full-width inclined-layer rolling technology. The former achieves seamless connection between construction layers through a modular formwork system, greatly improving dam pouring efficiency; the latter ensures uniformly compliant concrete density through an innovative rolling path design. The successful practice of these cutting-edge processes not only lays a solid foundation for project quality but also effectively shortens the construction period through standardized construction procedures, providing a replicable and scalable "Chinese solution" for similar water conservancy projects.

The Jiaohua Reservoir Project is located in Liuyang City, Hunan Province, and is a comprehensive water conservancy project integrating urban water supply, flood control, irrigation, power generation, and ecological water replenishment. The reservoir dam is a roller-compacted concrete gravity dam, with a crest elevation of 181.5 meters, a maximum dam height of 69.5 meters, and a crest length of 420 meters. Upon completion, the project will effectively enhance the flood control capacity of the Liuyang River basin, safeguard water supply security for Changsha, Liuyang, and towns along the route, improve the regional ecological environment, and be of great significance for promoting sustainable local economic and social development.

At present, the remaining works, including installation of the dam's metal structures, installation of electromechanical equipment in the powerhouse, dam grouting, and cofferdam removal, are proceeding in an orderly manner.
