On October 21, Unit 4 of the Phase II expansion project of Guoneng Shenhua Jiujiang Power Generation Co., Ltd., in which Jiangxi Hydropower participated in construction, passed a 168-hour continuous full-load trial operation and was successfully handed over for commercial operation. The power plant's total installed capacity jumped to 4 million kilowatts, making it the first power plant in the Central China region with four million-kilowatt units and the largest clean coal power enterprise in Jiangxi Province.

The Jiujiang Power Plant Phase II project is a key project in Jiangxi Province's 14th Five-Year Energy Development Plan and the first clean coal power project completed and put into operation during the province's 14th Five-Year period. The project integrates and applies 58 domestically leading technologies, providing an engineering demonstration and practical benchmark for the power industry's "Five New" technology system.

During the project construction period, the Jiangxi Hydropower project management team closely focused on the goal of "striving to create a national excellent gold award project and building a high-standard, high-efficiency, low-cost premium project," stepped up resource allocation, rigorously managed quality, implemented safety measures, and actively promoted improved quality and efficiency in project performance. Facing various adverse factors such as high temperatures, tight schedules, and technical complexity, the builders overcame difficulties and fought tenaciously, adhered to technology empowerment, carried out technical research around construction difficulties, and, with superb technology and advanced management, achieved the milestone target of the 168-hour trial operation.

The full commissioning of the Guoneng Shenhua Jiujiang Power Plant Phase II project is not only an important supplement to Jiangxi Province's energy supply guarantee system, but also further enhances the province's energy supply guarantee capacity, significantly strengthens the power supply capacity of the Central China region, and adds strong momentum to local economic and social development. After the project is completed and put into use, with four units operating simultaneously, annual power generation can exceed 24 billion kilowatt-hours, which will further enhance Jiangxi Province's energy supply guarantee capacity and boost the green and high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas.
