On October 21, great news came from the Three Gorges Energy Shandong Shenxian 312.5MW Wind Power Project, for which Kunming Institute is the EPC general contractor — the hoisting of the first wind turbine was successfully completed, marking that the project construction has officially entered a key implementation stage and laying a solid foundation for achieving first grid-connected power generation by the end of the year as planned.

The project is located within Shenxian County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, with a special geographical position: the west side of the site adjoins Nanle County, the south side adjoins Fanxian County, and the east side adjoins Taiqian County. As a key green energy project in the region, the Phase I construction scale is 312.5MW, with design and installation of 50 wind turbines each with a unit capacity of 6250kW, along with a newly built 220kV booster station equipped with two 240MVA main transformers. After the project is completed and connected to the grid, the power from the wind turbines in the site will be collected through 12 circuits of 35kV collector lines, boosted at the booster station, and then connected to the 500kV Wuyang Station via one 220kV line approximately 23km long.

The smooth hoisting of the first wind turbine is an important milestone in the project construction and further demonstrates the strong execution and collaboration capabilities of all participating parties. Next, the participating parties stated that they will go all out to sprint toward the goal of grid-connected power generation by the end of the year, ensuring that the project delivers benefits as early as possible and contributes more to the high-quality development of Shandong's energy sector.
